Sing Happy Community

Bring the joy of music into your care setting with our inclusive singing sessions, especially designed for adults of all abilities in care homes, day centres, and similar environments.

What We Offer:

Inclusive singing sessions: Especially tailored for older adults and those with additional needs in care settings.  Sessions include warm-ups, musical exercises and learning songs together, covering a range of musical styles. Designed to boost well-being and encourage connection and confidence through making music together!

What are the benefits?: Singing offers a wide range of benefits for older adults and individuals with additional needs, both physically and emotionally. It releases endorphins, which help to lift mood and promote a sense of well-being, while also reducing levels of cortisol, which eases anxiety. As an aerobic activity, singing increases oxygen levels in the bloodstream and improves lung health. Singing has also been shown to lower blood pressure, regulate heart rate, and boost immunity. Cognitively, it strengthens concentration and memory, and it can evoke verbal and emotional memories, which is particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing cognitive decline. Additionally, singing enhances social bonding, fosters connection, and provides a powerful sense of belonging, making it a joyful and therapeutic activity for many.
